By far the nicest mouse mat I have ever used was actually given as a gift by one of our suppliers I had, for a long time, been using a traditional roll ball mouse, it was imprecise, jumpy, irrational and even bloody-minded. Traditional mice tend to gather dirt under their roller and after a while can become difficult to maneuver. This build up of dirt is commonly referred to as ‘mouse poo’. Berber logo mats
I had been shouting about it for a while at work, moaning and bashing my mouse on the desk in frustration, I was poking around in its underside trying to dislodge some of the dirt encrusted on its rollers when my boss, who was, most probably getting rather frustrated at my general noise left the office, returning some twenty minutes later with a shiny optical mouse. It had a bright red ‘laser beam’ on its underside indicating some sort of precision.
Well, this mouse was indeed a pleasure to use and I was able to flick with pixel perfect accuracy around my screen. Now, I did not want my new mouse to go the same was as my last one. I shined up the surface of my table and went to work. Then I remembered the stationery cupboard, going in there I remembered a beautiful business gift we had received last year, some custom mouse mats with logos and phone numbers which one of our clients had sent us. I had not really appreciated it at the time
